Job Opening: Character Artist
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work closely and collaborate with the Concept and Technical Art team on Darktide
- Deliver textured cosmetics/character art assets from concept to animation ready meshes
- Review and implement assets from outsourcing
- Be able to work iteratively and in collaboration with the rest of the pipeline
- Being part of delivering cosmetics for our premium store
Qualifications & Skills:
- Great understanding of visual weight, human/creature anatomy, and form, working with silhouettes/shape/form and costume designs
- 2+ years of professional experience in the game industry
- Great eye for materials and form structures
- Extensive experience in Maya/Blender/3ds Max, modeling animation-friendly meshes, and understanding the value of Mesh/UV/Texture optimization
- Creating/editing stunning textures, with the help of Photoshop and Substance Painter/Designer, for a PBR pipeline
- Be able to produce exceptional sculpts with the help of Zbrush and Marvelous Designer
- Game engine experience – implementing and setting up assets
- Be able to work in teams to solve problems and improve overall development
- Fluent in spoken and written English
