Job Opening: Character Artist – Warcraft Arclight Rumble
Location: Irvine, California, US
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Concept, other Character Artists and the Art Director to bring visually compelling characters to reality
- Sculpt detailed high-poly models and create efficient low-poly meshes for a diverse lineup of characters, and creatures that live in Warcraft
- Create high quality textures and author materials and shaders
- Be ready to ensure that your characters support gameplay and performance and are animation friendly
- Work closely with production and your lead to make sure assets are delivered on time and within spec
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience creating games on big or little teams
- A portfolio of stylized pieces of Character Art that would fit in or enhance the Warcraft aesthetic
- Some experience with 3D programs, problem solving and what obstacles an Animator will face when trying to bring your art to life
- Having a passion for Blizzard games and our game universes
