Job Opening: CG Supervisor
Location: Adelaide or Brisbane, Australia

Responsibilities:
- Mentor and actively develop team members of all experience levels,
- Promote a collaborative and enjoyable workplace influencing morale, fostering purposeful discussion and a positive work ethic.
- Manage, support and supervise key aspects of the CG pipeline including, but not limited to FX, Lighting and Look Development, Animation and Creatures, Layout, Modelling etc.
- Collaborate closely with the 2D department to ensure assets created meet the needs of the compositing team.
- Create technical solutions to ensure deadlines are met in consideration of each projects financial and resource parameters.
- Work with VFX Supervisors to ensure RSP delivers quality shots on time and on budget to the Client.
- Ensure briefs, from the VFX Supervisors, are well understood by the artists, clarifying and expanding on details as requested.
- Collaborate with the Head of Departments to set show-based technical directions and quality expectations to improve the images we make.
- Work with production to outline scheduling and resource needs.
- Work constructively with staff in all positions at all levels of the company, demonstrating consistent, constructive and efficient use of influence.
- Maintain an ongoing awareness of the state of show assets and shots, and an ongoing view of project health.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Desired 8 years CG experience in successive 3D focused roles, including successful experiences as CG Supe/CG Lead, on live action feature films.
- Production experience with Shotgun.
- Expert user of production ready software for 3D and 2D applications, such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini etc. N.B. RSP operates in a Linux system environment.
- Have a well developed creative eye and an understanding of composition, photography, film-making, lighting, design, animation and storytelling.
- Practical understanding of the entire production pipeline process.
- Multi-disciplinary understanding derived from working within departments such as FX, Lighting, Compositing and Asset Teams.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanour in a deadline focused work environment.
- Expert people management/leadership and organisational skills.
- Technical and creative problem solving with a can-do mindset.
- Expert time management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong knowledge of the VFX industry, planning and requirements.
