Job Opening: CG Generalist
Location: Noida, UP, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Modeling: Create complex, photo-realistic 3D models for characters, environments, and props based on concept art and real-world references.
- Texturing: Develop detailed textures and materials for assets, ensuring they meet high visual standards.
- Lighting and Shading: Set up and execute lighting that enhances the final render while maintaining artistic and technical requirements.
- Animation: Contribute to the rigging and animation of characters, creatures, or objects for high-quality visual storytelling.
- Rendering: Optimize and execute rendering tasks to deliver polished images that meet production deadlines.
- Compositing: Integrate various CG elements into a seamless and visually compelling final product.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and solve technical issues that arise during production, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Collaboration: Work closely with VFX Supervisors, Producers, and other departments to meet creative and technical expectations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Houdini, Cinema 4D).
- Experience with texturing and material creation using software like Substance Painter, Mari, or Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of rendering software (e.g., Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift).
- Experience with compositing software such as Nuke or After Effects.
- Strong understanding of the entire CG pipeline.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- 5-7 years of experience in a CG Generalist role within the VFX or animation industry.
- Experience with simulation (e.g., particles, fluids, smoke) and FX tools.
- Strong artistic eye with an ability to create visually appealing imagery.
- Familiarity with virtual production and real-time engines (e.g., Unreal Engine) is a plus.
- Previous work on feature films, commercials, or high-end TV shows.
