Job Opening: CFX Maya/Houdini Developer
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PXO CFX Maya/Houdini pipeline
- Create new tools and features to improve the efficiency of our artists
- Troubleshoot and debug CFX Maya/Houdini issues
- Work with artists to understand their needs and develop solutions
- Stay up-to-date on the latest CFX Maya/Houdini technologies
- Have experience with Character Finaling tasks, including:
- Maya Xgen groom setup and simulation
- Maya or Houdini muscles system build and simulation
- Shot sculpt of the geometry on top of the animated caches
- Maya cloth and Houdini Vellum cloth setup and simulation
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience with CFX Maya/Houdini development
- Extensive knowledge of simulation techniques for cloth, hair, fur, muscle, skin, and other character-related effects.
- Experience with Python scripting
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience
- Houdini groom setup and simulation
- Experience with Shotgun API, Deadline API
- Good understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
