Job Opening: After Effects Compositing Artist
Location: Kilkenny, Ireland
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- To help with the testing and developing of composting methods
- To layer each sequence/scene you are provided with using Adobe After Effects.
- To work with multiple 2D animations passes to achieve a high standard cinematic image
- To maintain a high level of visual and technical quality for all the shots
- Technical checking and problem solving as needed
- To add camera moves, masks, filters, blurs, colour adjustments, particle effects, time effects and anything else that generally falls under the umbrella of 2D Compositing
- To work according to the expected weekly quota, comprising multiple passes and approval by the Supervisor and Director.
- To render final High Res frames for post-production
- To archive relevant compositing material for full or partial reuse in the future
- To address any problems and communicate the progress of work to the Coordinator
- Ability to manage time successfully in prioritizing tasks
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications & Skills:
- Industry experience in 2D Compositing on a series production, at least 2 years of experience
- Extensive knowledge of After Effects; knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony and Photoshop would be a plus
- Excellent organization and attention to detail/accuracy
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills, including a high level of English and the ability to communicate with a wide range of personalities
- Positive focussed approach to work
- Ability to take direction and work on a fast pace series production
- Able to work in-house in Kilkenny, Ireland.
