Job Opening: FX TDĀ
Location: London, England, United Kingdom
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Creating particle, rigid-body, and fluid simulations.
- Applying lighting and shaders to produce the final rendered images, or working with a Lighting TD.
- High level of experience using FX tools, including Maya and Houdini.
- Working in partnership with the CG team and Supervisors on Show, Sequence, or Shot lookdev and execution.
- Able to work with the pipeline team to develop tools and techniques, with familiarity with common FX issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- An excellent knowledge of Houdini and Maya, understanding and use of Nuke for compositing, and Arnold for rendering.
- A thorough understanding of the techniques relating to FX simulation and procedural animation.
- Previous experience producing effects such as smoke, fire, water, explosions, and cloth. Hair and crowd work would be a bonus.
- A good understanding of the entire visual effects process.
- Strong Vex, hscript, and/ or Python scripting skills.
- Programming skills with C/C++ along with knowledge of the Houdini HDK and/ or Maya API.
- Python and Unix shell scripting.
