Job Opening: Pipeline TD
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and support for artists
- Collaborate with R&D developers and senior production supervisors to develop specific new Python tools and workflows
- Contribute to the development and constant improvement of our internal pipeline
- Ensure requests for new tools are connected with company strategy
- Previous experience in Visual Effects or related industry
- Excellent Python, Shotgrid, Maya, and Nuke skills
- Solid understanding of the Visual Effects pipeline
- Experience in developing tools for DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini or Nuke
Qualifications & Skills:
- Production knowledge of Maya, its Python API and scripting, and ShotGrid is required.
- Knowledge of Unity is an asset.
- Ability to create scripts in Python allowing for automation of specific tasks.
- Strong artistic skills; demonstrable ability to make creative and aesthetic judgement calls.
- Thorough knowledge of VFX.
- Ability to communicate and/or demonstrate ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and visually. Practices attentive and active listening. Incorporates feedback and direction received from the Supervisors of all departments.
- Open to and encourages feedback and new initiatives. Shares information and techniques with team members.
- Adaptable to change, he/she can alter course of action quickly per production needs. Solid work ethic and positive attitude. Ability to work under pressure. Self-motivated and proactive. Consistently strives to expand the knowledge base.
