Job Opening: Senior Animator / Motion Designer
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Type: Full-Time
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as an animator and creative storyteller
- Ability to read and interpret briefs and scripts and determine appropriate creative approaches
- Develop scripts and storyboards to present to clients
- Create drawings, illustrations, and models using a variety of methods
- Collaborate with production crew (incl. other Gozer employees, contractors, and production partners)
- Direct the work of other animators and animation assistants
- An expert understanding of animation principles + techniques – e.g. easing; rotoscoping; rhythm; physics; etc.)
- Expert knowledge of animation workflows and software
- Comfortable with video technologies including formats and platform-specific requirements
- High-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications with a primary focus on After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Bridge
- Proficiency with 3D Animation Package Blender (or Cinema 4D / Maya / 3DS Max)
