Job Opening: Senior Motion Designer
Location: North Sydney, Australia
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Follow and interpret a brief to produce still, composite, and animated broadcast designs.
- Take direction from the Creative Management team.
- Provide design solutions for Nine Network Promos and Programs
- Add effects/elements to enhance Promos.
- Mentor the junior Motion Designers
- Work as part of a design team, directing, encouraging and sharing knowledge to more junior members of the design team.
- Update and maintain knowledge of new products, equipment and techniques
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 6 years of demonstrated Motion Design experience, with particularly experience working within TV Promotions
- Excellent communication and project management skills. With the ability to manage project timelines and communicate regularly with key management and production staff on project updates
- A creative thinker with the ability to come up with fresh, new ideas suited to the brief
- Highly skilled in Graphic Design, Animation & Typography. 3D skills also desirable
- Highly competent in Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Is patient, self-disciplined and reliable
- Possess a high level of organisational skill
- Ability to work on large projects, and lead other more junior team members
- Ability to produce mock-ups to communicate design ideas and concepts
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications such as a Degree in Visual Art / Design or equivalent
