Job Opening: Junior Animation Supervisor
Location: British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Provides creative direction to a team of artists.
- Collaborates on an interdisciplinary creative team.
- Contributes to the development of narrative concepts with reference frames and high-level storyboards
- Works with a Project Manager and Project Coordinators to manage animation pipelines.
- Technical and creative problem solving.
- Creates asset packages that establish overall direction, tone, and messaging.
- Participates in client presentations at project milestones.
- Responsive to unforeseen project twists and turns. Calm and composed under pressure.
- Contribute positively to a supportive workplace culture.
- Reports directly to the Head of Animation. Works closely with our Head to develop their skills as they gain fluency in the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A creative, imaginative, and curious human. Willing to learn new things.
- Appetite to grow and build a career with us.
- A demo reel that reflects your skills and your outstanding potential.
- Confidence in leading creatives to produce great quality animation work.
- 2+ years’ experience working in an animation or vfx studio
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple workflows.
- Outstanding proficiency with at least one 3D Animation Software tool.
- i.e. Maya, Cinema 4D.
- Familiarity with Comp an asset, as well as other elements of Adobe suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a focus on visitor experience.
