Job Opening: Senior 3D Generalist
Location: Montreal, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the production and delivery of parts of the project assigned to him in respect with schedules and deadlines;
- Be a part of the creative process with the Director, Art Director, and Project Lead of the project by suggesting concepts and creative technical approach;
- Assist the 3D Project Lead in supervising the work of his project team’s 3D artists;
- Work with Directors, Designers and CG supervisor to ensure a synergy between the environment, its content and the technology used;
- Evaluate and suggest appropriate production techniques base on time and budget;
- Act as a resource in his field of expertise for the team to assist, train, guide and build a product linked with his knowledge and expertise;
- Be on the constant lookout for the latest in technologies and artistic trends;
- Perform any other responsibility and/or task relating to the position.
Qualifications & Skills:
- College diploma in 3D animation, graphic design, or in a connected field;
- Professional functional knowledge of French and/or English, both spoken and written;
- More than 5 years of experience in visual content creation (3D animation, VFX, compositing, );
- Mastering of a 3D animation and visualization software ( Maya, Arnold, C4D);
- Advanced knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop software;
- Base knowledge or big interests in real-time production, (Unreal, Notch, Touch Designer)
- Knowledge of the Nuke software, Substance 3D, 3Ds max, Python programming language, as well as simulation tools such Thinking Particles, Xparticles, Houdini is an asset;
- Experience in visual design integrated to multimedia environments is also an asset.
