Job Opening: Sr Houdini TD
Location: Mumbai, India
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the VFX and Production departments
- Create global and show based scripts and tools
- Support for shot based issues together with leads and supervisors
- Continuously improve pipeline
- Educate artists on how to work with the pipeline
- Create and update documentation explaining our processes and tools
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years of experience in the VFX industry
- A strong understanding of production processes and artist workflows within the film and television visual effects pipelines
- A thorough understanding of the techniques and technologies relating to FX simulation and procedural animation
- Strong understanding of 3d geometric attributes and principles
- Proven pipeline TD experience in animated features, and/or VFX feature films
- Experience using and troubleshooting in Houdini software
- Excellent knowledge of Python and Houdini,
- Strong Vex, hscript scripting skills
- Experience with PyQt / PySide
- Previous experience in Linux shell scripting
- Programming skills with C/C++ along with knowledge of the Houdini HDK
- Strong familiarity with git and collaborative workflows (code review, standards, etc
- Proficiency in working with one or more renderers (e.g. Renderman, Mantra, Arnold, etc.), and experience with renderer specific file format
