Job Opening: Character Concept Artist

Chakrra is seeking a highly skilled Freelance Character Concept Artist for a remote contract position. This role involves a mix of developing brand-new character artwork and refining existing 2D concepts. We need an artist who can translate detailed descriptions into compelling visuals that align perfectly with our creative vision and project goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and refine 2D character concepts and original conceptual artwork.
- Translate ideas and descriptions into visual concepts that match project goals.
- Develop clean orthographic turnarounds including front, side, back, and 3/4 views at a consistent scale.
- Create detailed character expression sheets and movement cards.
- Collaborate effectively with creative teams in a fully remote environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Animation industry and 5 years as a Concept Artist.
- Strong proficiency in 2D Character Concept Art and design.
- Expertise in digital tools to render surface qualities like skin texture, fabric weaves, and wear and tear.
- Strong visual storytelling skills and a high level of artistic creativity.
- Background in the entertainment, gaming, or animation industries is mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and remote time management.
