Job Opening: VFX Talent and Resource Manager

Responsibilities:
Resource Planning & Allocation:
- Work closely with production teams and department heads to forecast, track, and allocate resources effectively.
- Maintain and update resource schedules, ensuring optimal use of talent and balancing workloads.
- Collaborate with producers and supervisors to anticipate talent needs, reassign resources, and resolve conflicts.
- Provide regular reports on resource utilisation, availability, and project staffing needs.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and best practices for working hours, contracts, and overtime
Talent Management & Development:
- Identify and nurture top talent, working with recruitment teams to attract and secure freelance and full-time talent.
- Support the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration of new hires into the team.
- Track artist performance and collaborate with the Head of People and Culture on career development strategies.
- Deliver artist performance data to supervisors and HODs to support informed performance reviews.
- Maintain and update the Artist Skills Matrix to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the depth and diversity of our talent.
- Develop initiatives to support artist retention, mentorship, and professional growth.
- Support the Head of People and Culture with learning and development and upskilling programs to improve workforce flexibility and adaptability.
Operational & Strategic Support:
- Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, including contract renewals and extensions.
- Develop and maintain tools, processes, and systems for resource management and tracking.
- Work closely with leadership to align resource planning with studio goals and production needs.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and communication within the studio.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in talent management, resource planning, and scheduling within a VFX, animation, or games studio.
- Strong understanding of the VFX production pipeline, workflows, and departmental interdependencies.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and multitasking abilities.
