Job Opening: Lead Compositor
Location: Poland
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality image compositing for VFX projects.
- Effectively integrate CG elements to maintain the overall look, color balance, and quality of shots.
- Collaborate closely with the VFX Supervisors, CG Supervisor, and Production team to lead projects and support on-time delivery.
- Support the bidding process.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on artists’ work to ensure visual quality and continuity.
- Effectively communicate with artists and the project team to keep them informed of progress, changes, and other critical issues.
- Set up templates, maintain consistency across shots, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Identify tools and techniques to enhance an already established pipeline.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Team Lead Compositor is not mandatory; however, candidates with a demonstrated ability to mentor newcomers or to lead artists on previous projects, even in a senior role, are desirable for the position.
- Advanced proficiency in Nuke and strong understanding of compositing techniques, including keying, roto, tracking, grading, and integration of CG.
- Strong sense of color grading and a good understanding of color-space procedures.
- Expert knowledge of compositing as well as integration of 3D elements.
- A creative eye and artistic skills with a good understanding of color and lighting.
- Good understanding of techniques and technologies related to CG rendering and compositing.
- Ability to successfully delegate, mentor, and manage people and projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical and artistic challenges.
