Job Opening: Junior 3D Layout Artist

Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Director and Animation Director to build scene setups in line with approved client storyboards
- Create rough layouts, defining the initial blocking of character animation and cameras within a scene
- Make sure all scenes are working within the required pipeline set up to be delivered to the animation department
- Adapt and refine cameras based on the Director’s critiques and changes
- Liaise with the Storyboard, Assets, and Animation departments to create layouts that work towards the Director’s intended vision
Qualifications & Skills:
- Working knowledge of Maya and clean scene setups
- Demonstrable artistic skills, including a strong sense of composition and perspective, the knack to create atmosphere, and a good understanding of editing
- Good understanding of cinematography, pacing, timing, and general filmmaking concepts
- Knowledge of CG Animation techniques
- Knowledge of a CG pipeline
- Proactive learner who responds positively to feedback
- Strong communication skills
