Job Opening: Environment Modeling Artist [Mid-level]
Location: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain
Type: Project-based Contract
Responsibilities:
- Develop procedural assets, terrains, and natural elements using Houdini.
- Work closely with the art director and production team to maintain the artistic vision.
- Optimize assets for performance while ensuring high visual fidelity.
- Integrate assets into the pipeline, collaborating with lighting and compositing teams.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to environment creation and ensure workflow efficiency.
- Create high-quality 3D environments, landscapes, and props for animated films or series.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as an Environment Artist in animation, VFX, or game development.
- Proficiency in Houdini for procedural modeling, especially vegetation and terrain generation (Labs tree generator, Simple Tree Tools, HeightField nodes…etc)
- Strong skills in Maya, Blender, Zbrush or other 3D modeling tools.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to feedback and production needs.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other real-time rendering engines.
- Scripting knowledge in Python or VEX for workflow automation.
