Job Opening: Rigging Artist
Location: Freelance/Remote
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Rig characters, clothing, and props in Maya
- Create and manage blend shapes
- Handle skinning, weight painting, and deformation setup
- Rig complex garments, accessories, and mechanical elements
- Troubleshoot and refine rigs based on animation and technical needs
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Maya rigging workflows and tools
- Solid understanding of rigging principles, deformation, and character topology
- Confident with blendshape creation and weight painting
- Able to rig both organic and hard-surface assets
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Bonus Points For:
- Scripting experience (Python or MEL)
- Experience exporting to Unreal Engine and working within real-time constraints
