Job Opening: DI – Conformist
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Gather and review inputs from clients to start the project in the Business Logic (BL) system.
- Check the accuracy of the received inputs and create the project within the BL system.
- Ensure all inputs are correct and assign tasks to the consolidation team once verified.
- If any inputs are incorrect (e.g., EDL, reference, or source list issues), inform the Lead Person (LP) to make necessary corrections.
- Work with the Senior Conformist to agree on the timeline for confirming inputs.
- Prepare the EDLs and reference materials needed for the consolidation process.
- Begin consolidating VFX inputs first, followed by the reel content.
- Inform the Data Manager (DM) to transfer the consolidated sources to storage once consolidation is complete.
- Provide a consolidation report to the Senior Conformist, detailing any missing rushes, incorrect clip names, or other issues.
- Submit VFX and reel confirmation reports to the Senior Conformist for approval.
- Provide the Senior Conformist with the VFX output Quality Control (QC) report.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Conformist or related post-production role.
- Strong understanding of VFX workflows, EDLs, and project consolidation processes.
- Proficient in reviewing and verifying client inputs for accuracy, including source lists, references, and clip names.
- Experience with project management tools and file management systems used in post-production.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in assets and timelines.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and VFX output standards.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with team members, senior staff, and clients.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of video formats, codecs, and industry-standard software (e.g., Avid, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in post-production or VFX-related fields are highly desirable.
