Job Opening: 2D Concept Artist

Responsibilities:
- Produce visually compelling concept art for characters, environments, props, and other game assets.
- Develop detailed sketches, illustrations, and paintings that define the project’s visual style.
- Translate written and verbal descriptions into captivating visual concepts.
- Design unique and immersive characters, creatures, and environments that enhance storytelling and gameplay.
- Create detailed turnarounds, action poses, and design breakdowns to guide 3D modeling and animation teams.
- Produce mood boards, color scripts, and visual guides to establish the tone and style of the game.
- Experiment with various artistic techniques to develop a distinctive visual language.
- Work closely with the art director, senior artists, and other team members to align concepts with project goals.
- Actively participate in feedback sessions and make necessary adjustments to refine and improve your work.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate fresh ideas into your concepts.
- Research opportunities for innovation in visual development and concept art workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in industry-standard digital painting software such as Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of concept art principles, including character design, environment design, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent drawing and illustration skills, with a keen eye for detail and composition.
- Knowledge of game development pipelines and the ability to create assets that support the 3D modeling and animation processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with directors, stakeholders, and team members.
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities to make creative decisions and overcome challenges during the concept art creation process.
- Experience with AI-powered tools for digital art.
- 2D Animation is a Plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, Concept Art, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 2+ years of experience in concept art or a related role, preferably in the gaming industry.
- A strong portfolio showcasing previous concept art, including examples of character designs, environment sketches, and other visual development work.
