Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • 3D Modeling and Texturing: Design and build high-quality 3D models for characters, environments, props, and other game assets while ensuring they are optimized for performance across platforms.
  • Animation and Rigging: Animate 3D characters and objects to bring them to life, creating a seamless integration of animations with the game engine.
  • Concept Art and Prototyping: Collaborate with concept artists and designers to create accurate, visually appealing 3D models based on reference materials and concept art.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Work alongside the art director, senior 3D artists, and other team members to ensure assets align with the project’s artistic vision. Actively participate in feedback sessions to improve and refine the quality of your work.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter) and game engines (Unity/Unreal Engine) to create and refine 3D assets.
  • Artistic and Design Skills: Leverage your understanding of artistic fundamentals, such as anatomy, form, color theory, and lighting, to create visually compelling and realistic assets.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating these into your workflow to improve asset creation and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation principles.
  • Proficiency in Game Engines to create 3D animations and integrate 3D assets into the game engine.
  • Knowledge of game development pipelines and the ability to create assets optimized for real-time performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple 3D asset projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with directors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Creativity and problem-solving abilities to make creative decisions and overcome challenges during the 3D asset creation process.
  • Familiarity with basic concepts of lighting, shading, and rendering techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree in 3D Art, Animation, Game Design, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 2+ years of experience in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous 3D artwork, including examples of character models, environment assets, and animations.
