Job Opening: Senior FX Artist
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Finalize shots driving existing tools or create your own solutions, including hero and creature FX to accomplish short narratives.
- Meet project milestones and deadlines on time.
- Collaborate with other artists to share knowledge and techniques.
- Communicate with other departments to receive feedback and resolve shot issues.
- Assist members of the FX team to learn and grow their skills by providing informal feedback, tips and tricks, and encouragement.
- Research software and methods for increased productivity and efficiency
- Mentor junior artists and set a positive example for the team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of FX experience in commercials, film or TV
- Strong understanding of multiple aspects of the VFX pipeline
- Skilled knowledge of Houdini; Maya and Nuke knowledge is a plus
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Ability to take direction well, collaborate effectively in a team, and perform under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of various aspects of the VFX pipeline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Capable of working collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize work across multiple tasks.
