Job Opening: Senior 3D Animator
Location: Remote – Europe
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create 3D animation for games (characters, environment, props, etc.);
- Create a rig/skin for characters;
- Create technical guidelines for animation;
- Arrange strong and smooth teamwork with artists and project managers;
- Lead the development of high-quality animations that align with the artistic vision and technical requirements of the project;
- Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other animators to develop and refine character movement, combat, and interaction animations;
- Implement animations directly into Unreal Engine 5, utilizing its advanced tools and features to ensure seamless integration and performance;
- Optimize animations for performance and memory, ensuring they run smoothly on target platforms;
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior animators, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the team’s overall skill level.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in gameplay animation, with at least one shipped title;
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard animation software and tools, including Maya and MotionBuilder;
- Extensive experience working with motion capture data and familiarity with HIK mocap workflow;
- In-depth knowledge of human and animal anatomy, body language, and emotions;
- Experience in animating with various custom character rig solutions and auto-rig frameworks like mGear and Advanced Skeleton;
- Proven leadership abilities, including mentoring teams of animators;
- A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating high-quality gameplay animations and cinematic work;
- A responsible approach to work;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively;
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments;
- Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.
