Job Opening: Episodic Animator
Location: Montreal, Canada
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Create keyframe animation sequences as directed by the supervisor/team leader.
- Adaptability, creativity, and responsiveness to direction.
- Create the synchronization and animation of facial expressions and body mechanics of characters and accessories.
- Keep up to date with animation techniques.
- Consistently meet production targets as set by the Assistant Manager or Production Manager team.
- Excellent ability to manage time and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in fine arts or animation, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in animation (or equivalent) of television series/episodic.
- Solid understanding of character animation, acting, walk cycle, and lip sync.
- Good understanding of character poses and interpretation techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Proficiency in Maya or other supporting programs, software, and tools.
- The ability to adjust the camera to achieve better shot composition when needed is an asset.
- Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas.
