Job opening: Visual Effects Supervisor
Location: Delhi, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the producer, managing expectations back to clients to support the communication and coordination of all production elements required to complete the project.
- Will collaborate with artists, leads, and supervisors to understand and enhance day-to-day production workflow needs.
- Daily review of assets and work in progress.
- Oversight of typical industry pipelines, file management, and live-action supervision.
- Participate in project bidding in conjunction with the producer, providing estimates of time and budget required for production-related shows and estimates of staff needed to complete and deliver the final product.
- Will assist in the design and implementation of the creative direction for various shots and sequences.
- Supervision over final composite and editing.
- Advise the production team on matters related to visual effects, including questions about blue and green screens, lighting, and camera angles or in relation to virtual production.
- Report to the Head of Production on a daily basis.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 4+ years of recent VFX supervision experience. Experience must have encompassed both studio-based shoots and on-location shoots.
- First-hand experience and deep knowledge of VFX/CGI shot production and its iteration processes through at least 4 years of on-site management.
- Must have extensive experience with blue/green screen (Chroma) compositing as well as integration of 3D elements into space.
- Demonstrated creative and technical skills in photo-realistic 3D animation and competency in all other areas of 3D including modeling, texturing, lighting, effects animation.
- Strong knowledge of Roto and Paint pipeline.
- Working knowledge of Nuke compositing workflow.
- Strong creative and technical abilities with an eye to perfection.
- Must be a team player and work well under tight deadlines.
- Excellent man-management skills.
- Strong understanding of directory structure, file formats, naming conventions, scripts, automation tools.
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience in both the creative and technical aspects of VFX post-production.
- In-depth knowledge of Nuke, Maya, and related software is essential as is a solid understanding of the production pipeline.
