Job Opening: Visual Effects (VFX) Editor
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the VFX Supervisor & the Producer to create the VFX Timeline of the video
- Working closely with producers to manage all incoming media and outgoing deliverables
- Incorporating and updating all required versions of visual effects shots into the current cuts of the VFX / live-action sequences.
- Performing shot-specific color corrections to match editorial reference when required.
- Marking annotations for brief specific and publishing it to all the relevant team members.
- Working in partnership with other members of the team to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard while maintaining schedules.
- Create in-house reels including monthlies and marketing presentation pieces
- Cutting the scans according to the frame range provided in nuke and making it ready for the team to work on.
- Publishing the scans provided by the Mumbai/client in shotgun before the team starts to work on it.
- Making sure the team works on the correct frame range and briefs asked by the client
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in an editorial post house or VFX cutting room.
- Proven organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong understanding of VFX shot frame ranges and how they apply to a VFX shot lineup
Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Knowledge of Nuke/Nuke studio (basic), and other VFX software will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge regarding color space.
- Mac OS X, Linux, Windows
- Shotgun, Windows Office, Adobe Reader/PDFs, Google Drive.
