Job Opening: Post Coordinator
Location: Toronto, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Post Producer in managing the post-production process across various projects.
- Assist with client feedback, and revisions, and ensure that client expectations are managed throughout the post-production phase.
- Work with various departments to ensure the availability of necessary resources, such as editors, sound designers, or VFX artists, for different stages of the post-production process.
- Schedule and manage team meetings, follow up on action items and ensure that all departments are aligned with the post-production timeline
- Coordinate project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed on time.
- Assist the Post Producer in monitoring project budgets, ensuring costs stay within limits, and alerting if any budgetary risks arise.
- Serve as the communication hub between departments, helping to streamline workflows and solve challenges as they arise.
- Keep track of project progress, ensuring all updates and changes are documented and communicated effectively.
- Manage the organization of post-production materials, including assets, deliverables, and final exports.
- Assist with the administration of post-production tools and software, making sure everything is running smoothly for the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may affect the post-production timeline.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a coordinator or in a similar project management role within the creative, media, or post-production industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Ability to think on your feet and quickly resolve challenges that may arise during the post-production process.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring that no aspect of a project—whether creative or administrative—is overlooked.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing deadlines and maintaining productivity under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with a knack for managing schedules and tracking details.
- Familiarity with production and post-production workflows, software, and industry practices.
- A passion for film, media, and storytelling.
- A degree in media, film production, or a related field is a plus but not required.
