Job Opening: Lead Animator
Location: Germany, Europe
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Conception and creation of high-quality and realistic 3D animations
- Close exchange with the areas of game design and programming
- Support in the timely planning and technical allocation of work tasks to the character team
- Coordination of internal and external graphic designers
- Maintenance of existing graphic documentation and lists
- Regular testing of current versions for graphic content
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completed training/degree or comparable practical experience in the animation field
- At least two years of professional experience as an animator or in a similar position
- Experience in staff management, with very good communication and teamwork skills
- Experienced in using Blender or comparable software and the Unreal Engine
- Extensive knowledge of animation creation, technical connections, and workflows in games
- Deep understanding of animation principles, movement sequences, and motor skills of humans and animals
- Independent, goal-oriented, and structured way of working
- Commitment, flexibility, and resilience
- High sense of quality and responsibility
- Fluent German language skills
- Good knowledge of English
Bonus:
- Knowledge of other 3D software
- Knowledge of iClone 8 and Character Creator 4
- Knowledge of other graphic software, such as Substance Painter, Photoshop, etc.
- Experience in processing Mocap data
