Job Opening: Gameplay Animator

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with game designers and programmers to create impactful animations for an FPP experience
  • Animate first-person rigs with weapon handling and combat
  • Develop and animate enemies, using both motion capture and hand-key animation
  • Design and implement animation logic (state machines, blend trees, etc)
  • Meet challenges with creative solutions
  • Estimate workload and plan animation work
  • Work to improve character animation quality in all areas

Qualifications & Skills:

  • More than 3 years of experience animating in the game industry, with a heavy focus on gameplay animations
  • Experience of First Person animations
  • Experience working with motion capture
  • Strong skills in hand-key animation
  • Expert proficiency in Autodesk MotionBuilder, Maya, or similar Animation software
  • Great understanding of animation rigs
  • Experience in designing and maintaining animation state machines
  • A problem-solving mentality
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team

Bonus qualifications

  • More than 3 years of experience in the gaming industry
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience in Unreal Engine 5
