Job Opening: VFX Artist
Location: Sydney, Australia
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Generating and implementing particle FX.
- Creating blood and fluid alembics in Houdini and implementing that into Unreal Engine.
- Developing and implementing destruction simulations.
- Implementing VFX in Unreal Engine using the Sequencer tools.
- Enhancing and maximizing visual aesthetics of shots in UE5.
- Designing HDAs / tools for other artists to use and help automate workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Understanding and experience in creating VFX in UE5 and Houdini.
- Strong experience and understanding of Unreal Engine 5.
- Strong understanding of fundamental lighting and camera principles and optimizing for a game engine.
- Basic experience with 3D modeling/animation software (e.g. Maya).
- Self-motivated with the capability to work and solve problems with minimal assistance.
- Highly organized with the ability to adhere to production schedules
- Well-developed communication skills and strong work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Desire to work within a team environment, fostering knowledge exchange and collective development.
Bonus Skills
- Experience creating static and motion graphics.
- Experience with 3D animation.
- Experience with Maya.
- Experience with VEX and Python languages.
