Job Opening: Junior Editor
Location: Belfast, United Kingdom
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- The junior editor will be responsible for ensuring series standard is maintained using the approved animatics and building toward the final picture and sound and complete edits to agreed deadlines as set out by the Series Director, Producer, and Production Manager throughout the series.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in video editing, preferably within the animation industry.
- Strong sense of timing and storytelling.
- Maintain continuity of editing within schedule, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Work with the lead Editor to ensure that scenes are in line with the Director’s vision.
- Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer. A basic understanding of animation software like Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, or Maya is useful.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and taking direction in order to work in a collaborative team environment.
- The position is open to UK residents only.
- The role is available for in-house/hybrid working in the Belfast studio.
