Job Opening: Video Production Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage both internal video staff and gamenight video staff, including oversight of the video content calendar.
  • Lead daytoday video strategy development and execution to support marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking in presenting the CFL brand.
  • Develop new content franchises with the video team for long-form content, short-form content and live content.
  • Management and upkeep of original video asset archive.
  • Work collaboratively with partnerships to develop video content that drives revenue.
  • Collaborate and work closely with internal stakeholders, including extended content team, partnerships, communications, player marketing, and CFL clublevel staff to manage daytoday and develop future programming for special events and campaigns.
  • Guide audio and video production of “The Waggle”, the CFL’s weekly podcast. Contribute to weekly production meetings and generate original content ideas.
  • Cover games, events, news, and other relevant moments in the CFL calendar.
  • Making databased decisions to optimize and maintain the CFL’s YouTube content strategy.
  • Lead and maintain video content calendar to ensure timely promotion of appropriate leaguerelated content.
  • Serve as a leader and guide to Sr. Coordinator of Video Production.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years in sports video production experience for a sports brand or media organization.
  • Knowledge and experience shooting with Sony cameras.
  • Strong video editing experience, ideally with Adobe Premiere in a Mac environment.
  • Strong understanding of the current sports media landscape, including creating and strategizing organic content.
  • Ability to work on deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position may include working days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to organize and prioritize projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including training and presentation abilities.
  • A strong knowledge of the CFL, its rules, teams, and players is preferred.
