Job Opening: Character Artist
Location: San Diego, California, US
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Sculpt high-resolution characters
- Create clean game topology, UVs, and textures
- Communicate the visual design and development of the characters through art specifications, style guides, and reference material
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2-3 years experience
- Strong understanding of anatomy, weight, and silhouette
- Strong Maya or similar 3D modeling software
- Very Strong sculpting skills using Zbrush
- Knowledge of PBR texture/material workflows
- Understanding of rigging and skinning techniques
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Passion for collaboration with other artists, designers, and programmers
- Critical eye for detail
Additional Considerations (Pluses):
- Experience with aesthetics for fantasy themes and visual stylings a plus
- Unreal Engine 4 Experience
