Job Opening: Trainee Script Coordinator / Production Assistant
Location: Remote. Must be based in the Republic of Ireland
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Production Coordinator (PC) to ensure day-to-day tasks are actioned and tracked.
- Assisting with communications between departments with a core focus on the script and audio areas of the pipeline.
- Assisting PC with first response collation of script notes from different sources, to present as a single actionable document for Showrunners & Directors.
- Assisting the PC with coordinating scripts, versioning drafts, and ensuring materials on shared servers are up to date.
- Taking notes in script meetings, and ensuring these flow to PC via tracking system.
- Coordinating VO recording sessions, and booking time slots with studio and actors, while coordinating with PC across the broader production schedule.
- Attending VO sessions to log takes, and session times and assist the VO director onsite.
- Assisting PC working with our audio and music departments to ensure all materials are delivered in accordance with the production schedule.
- Reporting to PC, including personal weekly tracking of training and duties as per the requirements of the trainee program.
- Attending production meetings and reviews, taking notes, and disseminating the relevant information.
- General administration and organization tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A proactive approach to work.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
- Self organised, motivated and comfortable working independently towards agreed objectives.
- TV production experience or knowledge of animation will be an advantage.
- Experience working with scripts and Final Draft software.
- Experience working with audio files, and a basic understanding of audio production workflows, and how they feed into animation pipelines a bonus.
- 2D animation process experience is preferable, especially animatics.
- Confidence and enthusiasm in working with people.
- Experience in database work and maintaining tracking documents (Specifically Google Suite).
- An understanding of schedules and coordinating task deadlines a bonus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Must be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to act on own initiative and strong problem-solving ability.
- Enthusiasm and positivity and an eagerness to learn and develop.
