Job Opening: Unreal Engine (UE) Generalists
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Type: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Create shaders, material effects, and Niagara systems that leverage what Unreal does best
- Research and develop workarounds for creative and technical challenges in Unreal
- Work with and create blueprints
- Ensure that the successful flow of assets and data is maintained throughout all pipeline steps
- Provide and implement technical training sessions and documentation for team members
- Ensure that best practices are being followed and maintained
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ years’ experience in Unreal Engine as generalist role, working with UE4 and above within Games, Animation, and VFX. Experience in UE5.3 is preferred.
- Production experience creating or modifying Shaders, tools, FX, Particle Systems, and/or other various assets in engine
- Experience with UE Blueprint system
- Experience with UE Sequencer and related tools within the engine
- Excellent abilities to troubleshoot problems and think creatively to resolve technical issues
- Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Maya
- Experience with FBX and ABC
Note: Applicants will be required to be located within BC for the contract. Relocation and permit support is available where possible.
