Job Opening: Senior UX/UI Artist
Location: Farnborough, England, UK
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Art and design fundamentals, including typography, layout design, color theory, and iconography.
- Working with the Principal UI Artist and Core Tech team to produce VR-specific visuals.
- Create, organize, and maintain game-ready assets.
- Ability to adapt to recent technologies and ways of working.
- The creation and revision of UI/UX design and flows.
- Assist UI Artists, and UX Designers to ensure functionality and visual fidelity.
- Build Implementation guides and assist programmers in implementing systems into the game
- Work with Art Direction to establish direction and create a UI style guide.
- An understanding of game-specific systems (perks, unlocks, progression, inventory, HUD)
- You must be collaborative and can work and communicate with all disciplines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in the games industry.
- Development experience with Unreal Engine and confidence in using UMG for the implementation of UI systems.
- Happy to work closely with others in a cross-discipline team.
- Ability to iterate rapidly prototype UI systems to bring them to quality.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and any industry-standard UI tools. (Adobe XD, Figma, Miro, Confluence, Notion).
- A good understanding of Graphic Design, Typography, Motion Graphics, Iconography, UX, and UI fundamentals.
- Up to date with the latest UI design trends.
- Have some experience with 3d software (Blender, Maya).
- Experience with UI Materials Lab and Common UI.
- Familiarity with at least one current or next-gen asset pipeline
