Job Opening: Asset / Asset TD
Location: Montreal, Canada
Type: Contracted to Full Time
Responsibilities:
- Define needs with the Asset Supervisor;
- Audit work with the R&D Lead;
- Implement corrections as per the R&D Lead with analytical thinking.
- Create methodologies, tools, and solutions related to the different fields involved in the creation of a 3D animation film pipeline;
- Develop, maintain, and support front-end Asset pipeline tools;
- Detail out the tools and code developed in written documentation;
- Give technical support and training to artists;
- Update tracking system;
- Keep coordination, the Asset Supervisor, and the R&D Lead informed of ongoing work;
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in computing, 3D animation, or work experience comparable to said degrees;
- At least two (2) years of experience within an animation or video game production environment;
- Have an understanding of production processes and technologies;
- Ability to identify and solve issues;
- High knowledge of Maya
- Knowledge in Python and Qt;
- High knowledge of rendering software (RenderMan, Arnold, Guerilla…);
- Knowledge of Guerilla, Katana, and ZBrush is a plus;
