Job Opening: Junior Environment Artist

Location: Kraków, Poland

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in modeling, texturing, and optimizing 3D assets for real-time rendering.
  • Collaborate with senior artists to create 3D game environments, props, and assets.
  • Create basic environmental elements like simple architectural structures and small props.
  • Support the art team in asset integration and bug fixing.
  • Maintain organization of project files and assets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and software tools.
  • Continuously improve skills through self-learning and training.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
  • Basic knowledge of texture creation and mapping techniques.
  • Understanding of real-time rendering and game engine workflows (e.g. Unreal Engine).
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D art fundamentals, including composition, and color theory.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow art direction.
  • Basic understanding of asset optimization and performance considerations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with sculpting software like ZBrush.
  • Familiarity with photogrammetry techniques.
  • Understanding of level design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting and automation in 3D software.
  • Knowledge of architectural design concepts.
