Job Opening: Background Paint Artist
Location: Nova Scotia (Remote)
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Using approved Background layouts to apply all final color, textures, and details to render finished background art for each episode
- Using color keys as a reference to produce backgrounds
- Maintaining consistent style and execution of BG’s as per requirements of the production
- Incorporating all notes from the Background Supervisor, while working collaboratively with other artists
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience with painting in Photoshop is necessary
- Exceptionally strong lighting skills
- Experience in Background Art for television, film and/or a portfolio displaying the required skills
- Impeccable understanding of color theory
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
