Job Opening: Production Coordinator
Location: Montreal, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Team in the successful delivery and receipt of all data pertaining to each project assigned to you by the Head of Production, including keeping a log of all incoming and outgoing data.
- Working closely with Editorial to proactively provide plates from conform and reference material to artists to safeguard bottlenecking of shot availability.
- Collaborating with the Production Manager in assigning tasks and balancing artist schedules based on the milestones and targets set by Production Manager. This also includes highlighting to Production Manager any visible weak points in the schedule or artist provision for jobs.
- Ensuring projects are delivered with pinch points and crunch times minimized through proper planning and advanced warning to Producer.
- Attending dailies, production meetings and client reviews. You will be required to take comprehensive notes and make any scheduling adjustments with the Production Manager based the feedback given by supervision and/or clients.
- Maintain show specific ShotGrid pages including supervision feedback, client feedback, task assignments, task durations and both shot and version statuses
- Organize and manage rounds with artists and supervision. Ensure that deadlines are clear and any uncertainties with client or supervision feedback are discussed so that targets are met and the work is done efficiently
- Supply general daily updates to Production Manager
- Assist the Production Assistant whenever required with organizing and setting up client reviews which includes prepping review material and agenda
- Uphold the company ethos and be an ambassador for the company whenever you’re required to liaise with a client. Support the Production Team in representing Outpost VFX by being always professional and courteous, both internally and when talking to clients
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and planning.
- Highly organized, with the ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable and/or well versed in Excel and ShotGrid.
- Proactive and motivated by positive challenges.
- Strong understanding for priorities and has good time management skills.
- Capable of working within a team, but also working alone.
- Able to successfully deliver a project by being an integral part of the Production Team, maintaining schedules, communicating deadlines, and balancing artists workload.
- Positive feedback from Producer and Production Manager along with Supervision Teams.
- Demonstrates growth and understanding for the pipeline and general production workflows through monthly discussions with Head of Production.
