Job Opening: Senior HR Manager – People Operations

Job Responsibilities:
- Audit and revise Employee Relations programs at an organizational level.
- Lead annual benefits and compensation reviews to ensure employee and industry needs and benchmarks are being met.
- Verify Hook is up-to-date with all HR policies and compliance especially California (Los Angeles and San Francisco), ensuring language in policies/philosophies is inclusive and easy for employees to adopt and understand.
- Partner with People Ops Director and other department leaders to understand high level company DEI vision and help translate to actionable goals for both the short and long-term, including but not limited to the following:
- Participate in developing and executing innovative solutions to strengthen diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence across the organization.
- Support ideation and development of diversity training programs and employee resource groups, from initial identification of needs to content development, implementation, and facilitation.
- Work with People Ops team to improve our on-boarding experience for new team members–evaluating our programs from a company, department, and group level perspective.
- Collect company data and evaluate responses to understand employee satisfaction and engagement and suggest improvements.
- Directly manage and mentor junior team members around areas of compliance/benefits/payroll/compensation etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Comfort-ability with ambiguity–thriving in an environment with limited structure and direction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in project management and operationalizing new programs
- Critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Ability to use data and user experience feedback to inform decision making
- Familiarity with employment law + HR compliance
