Job Opening: Senior Lighting Artist
Location: Montreal, QC, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Communicate your vision with the art director using examples and set a visual target.
- Work on a technical spec sheet illustrating examples/comparisons of different lighting conditions that we might encounter in our game.
- Work with a graphics engineer to help set technical standards and production processes to guide the team and ensure that their work achieves the visual target while also meeting performance standards.
- Make suggestions for how the new solution can be achieved, explore the artists workflow, and educate and guide artists.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Expert in the architecture of complex procedural lighting system creation.
- Knowledge of the lighting system in Unreal Engine.
- Experience working in real-time lighting workflows using a combination of baked and real-time lighting models
- Understanding of performance and GPU rendering for creating optimized real-time content, lighting and materials.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Creative, collaborative, autonomous, and flexible problem solver with an inclusive attitude.
