Job opening: Facial Animator
Location: Budapest, Hungary
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create and polish cinematic and gameplay facial animations based on motion capture data using Maya
- Utilize facial tracking/solving software to track/retarget to face rigs in Maya
- Address feedback from animation lead in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the lead and senior animators to modify assets meeting game-ready requirements
- Responsible for delivering a list of daily animations edited for the supervisor to review and make revisions accordingly
- Meet project deadlines and milestones
Qualifications & Skills:
- A passionate animator excited to help create a game filled with unique, player driven narrative moments
- 3+ years of experience as an animator working with motion capture data
- A thorough knowledge of Maya
- Proficiency with realistic facial motion with strong timing/acting skills
- Comfortable observing and animating the subtleties of facial expression
- Adept at working to deadlines and a fast turnaround time
- Strong creative and technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions and efficiently manage their workload on their own initiative
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members to complete high volume of work
- Experience with facial motion tracking is preferable (software such as Faceware or Dynamixyz)
- Ability to maintain motivation, has excellent work ethics, and works well with others
- Working knowledge of Mel or Python scripting is a plus
- Experience with tracking/scheduling software, such as ShotGrid
- Shipped at least 1 AAA console game. Experience in games industry
- Love for video games (not just ours!)
