Job Opening: CG Supervisor

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Review all technical and R&D requirements for the start-up of any new show
  • Bid and breakdown scripts to assess technical and creative challenges
  • Work closely with all departments on designing and implementing the technical, artistic pipeline, and workflow
  • Able to communicate needs and requirements across departments and disciplines
  • Assist and supervise the artists in achieving the artistic goals of the production
  • Implement, note, and execute against the creative direction of each sequence and shot
  • Work closely with Producers to ensure an accurate production schedule is set up and maintained
  • Be part of the bidding stages, assessing shots, and completing shot breakdowns
  • Oversee all aspects of the creation of CG imagery, from asset creation and rigging through lighting, rendering, and compositing
  • Creates relationships, and maintains communication with vendor studios to assist in the assessment, testing, setting of expectations at the start of production, troubleshooting pipeline and workflow standards and practices
  • The ideal candidate is able to be a hands-on, strong leader and as well as an excellent communicator that is conversant across all aspects of the production pipeline

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3 years of experience with high-end animation-based VFX pipelines as a Lead/Supervisor
  • Knowledge of all stages of production from modeling, rigging, layout,  look development, lighting, rendering, and compositing
  • Up-to-date knowledge of animation tools, emerging technologies, and workflows
  • Extensive hands-on experience with production tools and pipelines
  • Experience with Redshift (or equivalent), Maya, and Nuke
  • Desire to learn new pipelines and innovate and move fast

Desired Qualifications:

  • A real interest in VR, real-time game engines (Unity, Unreal), AR, motion capture, and new & emerging technologies
  • Open to all genres and a love for the future, man
  • Unity, Katana, Zbrush, and Mudbox premiere experience is a plus
