Job Opening: Match Move Artist
Location: United States or Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Create sets, props and other models based on blueprints, photographs and measurements.
- Set up the camera from camera data sheets, and track camera motion to match background plates.
- Animate props and puppets to match the action in the plates.
- Produce renders of the match move over the plates to check registration.
- Participate as a team member in determining various design and technical solutions.
- Participate in dailies and other meetings as required by production and management.
- Initiate dialogue and assumes responsibility for assigned work.
- Consistently meet production, management and match move team goals and deadlines in an expedient and efficient manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficient in Maya, or other high-end 3D animation software packages is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and take direction professionally.
- Ability to approach work with critical thought, analytical skills and solution-based focus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in commercial match move software such as 3D Equalizer, PFTrack, Nuke X, Boujou, SynthEyes is desired.
- Visual effects experience in feature films or related media is desired.
- Knowledge of Linux operating system and general scripting literacy desired.
- Experience with detailed model building, architecture or related fields a plus.
- Experience in traditional photography, film or video production a plus.
