Job Opening: Senior Matchmove Artist
Location: London, UK
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Creating CG cameras, object tracks and body tracks to match the BG plate
- Geometric reconstruction of key objects in a scene
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure the accuracy of each track
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure CG elements are seamlessly integrated into a shot
- Work well in a team environment and take direction from team leads and the production team
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2-3 years of matchmove experience in a VFX facility working on feature film projects
- Good understanding of the 3D VFX pipeline
- Professional user of PFTrack or 3DEqualizer
- An educational background in Computer Graphics, Animation or another related course
- A strong understanding of the basic principles of computer graphics
- Basic knowledge in Maya, Linux and a compositing package
- The ability to efficiently meet deadlines
- A good understanding of photography and the relationship between the lens focal length and the camera’s sensor and image aspect ratio as well as how nodal, non-nodal, mixed camera movement and parallax works
- Strong attention to details to achieve pixel perfection
- Excellent communication and team-working skills, including fluency in the English language
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
