Job Opening: Senior Character Rigger

Location: Bellevue, Washington

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Rig and weight characters, creatures, and props while working closely with Character Artists, Animators and Designers.
  • Create rigging pipelines and inform tooling.
  • Integrate a character and set up physics.
  • Optimization passes to make our character rigs more performant – either in engine or using a 3rd party tools.
  • Provide technical support for rigs in both Maya and Unreal Engine.
  • Work directly in engine to set up and maintain character assets.
  • Test functionality and bug fixing to ensure work is game-ready and high-quality.
  • Provide feedback on workflow and tools for the team at large.
  • Participate in our team-wide playtests and give feedback on the experience

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Animator creating rigs.
  • Expert knowledge of Maya and proficiency in scripting (Python/Mel/MAX Script).
  • Experience developing character rigs on at least 1 shipped game.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience shipping with Unreal Engine.
  • Technical Skills: Scripting.
  • Experience in runtime animation tools such as physics and simulations.
