Job Opening: Junior VFX Editor
Location: Adelaide, Australia
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Ingest, update and maintain edits for our visual effects sequences
- Process and validate editorial material provided by clients
- Manage, assemble and quality control all appropriate editorial media
- Update editorial information into internal systems
- Generate editorial media as required
- Assist in managing client delivery tools
- Assisting in the creation of marketing media including internal marketing, showreels, breakdowns, and awards reels
- Performing all duties while adhering to strict security protocols
- Update and generate process documentation
- Assist with other Technical Services tasks as requested
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1+ year(s) editing experience
- Proficient in the use of editing software, preferably Avid Media Composer
- Competence in the creation and management of editorial media
- Understanding of editorial concepts like frame rate, timecode, resolution, file formats and codecs
- Understanding of the post-production process
- Basic understanding of colour management
- Basic understanding of visual effects workflows
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to quality control your own work
- High levels of proactivity by developing the ability to find work that needs to be done
- Willingness to grow, learn and take on new challenges
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for your work
