Job Opening: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Taking part in recruitment events such as virtual (or in-person when it permits) Career Fairs.
- Setting up a sourcing strategy based on knowledge of studio requirements and maintaining an active candidate pool to pull from.
- Work with internal leaders to assist in building candidate pools, phone screens, reference checks, making hiring recommendations, and communicating and negotiating job offers.
- Provide outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the whole recruitment process.
- Provide recommendations to positively affect the current recruitment strategy.
- Committing to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business and industry, and monitor industry news to advise managers on current markets.
- Remain active on Social Media to positively promote The Embassy’s brand.
- Manage applicants using an ATS.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Be an approachable, skilled relationship builder.
- 3-5 years of experience in a people and culture capacity.
- Experience with an ATS such as Bamboo HR, Hiring Thing, and Jazz HR.
- Knowledge of local employment legislation (knowledge of immigration practices is a strong asset).
- Stellar written and oral communication skills with particular attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
- Desire to be part of driving an overall recruitment strategy for the studio.
- Knowledge or experience within the Digital Media and Entertainment industry (experience in film/ VFX is a strong asset).
- Ability to coach up and follow up on tasks.
- Sound judgment and the ability to manage several tasks at one time.
- Skill to reprioritize tasks as needed.
